Gatherers in the Field
An equal number of leaves (or fruit) are distributed over a large field, along two tracks of equal length. The starting points of the tracks are at a distance from each other, each with its own winding course. The tracks meet each other at the end, at a point unknown to the players.
The participants are divided into two teams of equal size, each deployed at its starting point.
The objective – to discover the track according to the leaves, and collect the leaves on the track.
At the instructor’s sign, the teams set out on their respective paths. The team that succeeds in collecting more than its counterpart wins.
A time limit may be imposed. The speed at which each group made its way from the starting point may be taken into account. In addition, the teams may be assigned funny, challenging ‘tasks’ to perform while in the field.
